Tuesday public meeting: Help us plan a party!
We want to celebrate our success in city council last month and keep the momentum moving forward on ensuring transit-oriented development doesn't come at the cost of renters in New Westminster.
While the fight isn't over, pushing council to start the process on developing a tenant protection bylaw is a good start — and it's all because of tenants organizing together and putting pressure on the city.
At the end of August, instead of our regular public meeting, we're looking to hold a celebration in Moody Park, but we need your help in planning and setting up this celebration.
Join us in the New West Public Library basement at 6:30 pm this Tuesday, July 30 to talk about party planning, and to hear and talk about other union updates.

Plus, we're always on the lookout for Building Contacts who can support the New West Tenants Union's work by keeping us posted of issues at rental buildings around the city.
